Miss Harriet Jenkins died at the home of brother, Mr. Daniel Jenkins at Shiloh 
on the morning of the 22nd of March.  She was called Sunday from earth but was 
prepared to enter that Celestial City not made with hands.

The deceased was about seventy years of age, was reared in Charleston, S.C., 
where she in early life united with the Episcopal church ever remaining to its 
creeds.  Her life was one of sweet sacrifice for her only brother, and his six 
noble sons, all who are in the ministry of the M.E. Church.

The many kind words and deeds will be missed but such a character is immortal.  
Rev. C.R. Jenkins of Ft. Valley conducted the funeral service in a tender and 
impressive manner.

The interment was at Sardis Church.
