The first was Reuben Mobley who lives about five miles from Hamilton. He was one of the leading farmers of the county and represented his county in the legislature for two terms. The other was Col. Ben Walton of Hamilton. He was for a long time one of the leading members of the Hamilton Bar and was well-known throughout the Chattahoochee Circuit. He was recently elected to the legislature, having defeated one of the most popular citizens of the county. His death will be a source of general regret.
