FORMER ROANOKE MAN DIED IN ATLANTA FEB. 13th

John Louie Satterwhite, president of the Satterwhite Furniture Company, died 
Sunday morning at 10 o'clock at his residence, 292 Ninth St., after a short 
illness brought on by exhaustion and heart trouble.  Born Oct. 23, 1873, in 
Harris County, Georgia, Mr. Satterwhite was one of the present day pioneers in 
the field of retail furniture trade in Atlanta, spending 31 years in 
successful work in the furniture business and associated other firms.  Mr. 
Satterwhite two years ago owned his own business at 292 Peachtree street.  He 
was assisted in the organization of this firm by his brothers and other who 
had confidence in his integrity, business ability and popularity with the 
retail furniture customers of Atlanta, its suburbs and trading territory.  The 
Atlanta Constitution, Feb. 14th.
