Mrs. Terry

    Mrs. Dora Rosamond Terry, 78, of Hamilton, died at noon Wednesday in 
Columbus as the result of burns sustained at her home Saturday.
     Mrs. Terry was born in Hamilton, the daughter of the late Mrs. Emma Duke 
and Benjamin Augustus Rosamond.  She attended public school in Hamilton.  
During 1963 and 1964, Mrs. Terry made her home in Lagrange.  She was a member 
of Hamilton Methodist Church.
     Survivors include:  her husband, William L. Terry of Hamilton; eight 
daughters, Mrs. John Duncan of Monticello, Ark., Mrs. Bessie Arrington, Mrs. 
Roy Trimnell, Mrs. James Self, Mrs. John Nebiolo, and Mrs. Roy Songer, all of 
Columbus; Mrs. Osie Oliver of Pine Mountain, and Mrs. Richard Babbitt of San 
Francisco, Calif; three sons, Fred Evans and Jim Evans, both of Lagrange, and 
Cecil Evans of Alex City, Ala: two sisters, Mrs. L.F. Buchanan and Mrs. M. A. 
Harper, both of Lagrange; one bother, J.R. Rosamond of Lagrange; 34 
grandchildren and a number of great grandchildren.
     Funeral services will be held this afternoon at 3 p.m. at the Trinity 
Methodist Church, Rev. J. Floyd Tenney, assisted by Rev. Eugene Barlow, will 
officiate.  Burial will be in Shadowlawn Cemetery with grandsons as pallbearers.
     The body of Mrs. Terry will be at the Maddox Funeral Home until service 
time.
     The family of Mrs. Terry will be at the home of Fred Evans, 109 Clark 
Street.
     Maddox Funeral Home of Lagrange is in charge of arrangements.


Additional Comments:
Dora married James Jefferson EVANS on 2 Jan 1906 in Hamilton, GA.  Jeff died 14 
Feb 1943.  She married William L. Terry in the early 1950's.
