Elsie Torrence

Cataula, GA—Elsie Jones Torrence, 68, of Cataula, GA, died Sunday, February 8, 
1998 at St. Francis Hospital.
	A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at the Rock 
Baptist Church in Cataula.
	Mrs. Torrence was born July 14, 1929 in Pittsburgh, PA, daughter of 
Fred and Bertha Mae Pendegrift Wilson.  She was a homemaker and a Catholic.
	Survivors include her husband, Jim Jones of Cataula; two sons, James 
Torrence of Phenix City, AL and Robert Torrence of Columbus; four daughters, 
Wanda McMillan of Columbus, Sandra Jones of Columbus, Penny Ledbetter and 
Carrol Cortez, both of Cataula; two sisters, Annette Morrison of Columbus and 
Edna Grabe of Scottsdale, AZ; 23 grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. 


Additional Comments:
Elsie Torrence was my mother.  Her obituary mentions her as Elsie Jones 
Torrence because she had been living with Jim Jones for over 30 years and they 
were not married but her wishes were that he be mentioned.  The amount of 
grandchildren is wrong.  She had 15 grandchildren.
