EVANS' BOYS 
 
This picture was taken in Hamilton (on Barnes Mill Road near Duke Road) 
at the home of Jeff and Dora Evans in February 1943. 
Jeff Evans had past away and all the family was home for the funeral. 
This is 4 of their 6 sons. 
  
From left to right and in order of their age: 
William B. Evans, Fred Evans, Jimmie Thomas Evans, Sr., & Cecil Evans 
  
William returned to basic training. 
He was killed in Germany in November 1944. 
Fred moved to Lagrange and lived there until his death in 1977. 
Jim was warden at the county camp in Hamilton and later on in Lagrange. 
He retired in Hamilton, where he lived until his death in 1995. 
Cecil moved to AL where he lives today. 
  
These gentleman are my mother's brothers.
