Paul Muse of the South Georgia Conference, which took place at the home of the bride’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. G.Y. McDowell Thursday afternoon at 6 o’clock, was one in which centered marked interest. The wedding was quiet, witnessed by only a few intimate friends and relatives. The ceremony was impressively performed by Rev. I.C. Jenkins of Jacksonville, Fla. The bride is endowed with all those feminine graces that constitute a lovely woman. She is richly endowed with the noblest qualities of mind and heart, and in winning her for a life companion, Mr. Muse has plucked from the garden of love, one of its fairest flowers. The bride was handsome in a blue tailored traveling suit, with hat to match. Rev. Muse possesses unusual gifts of mind and heart. The happy couple left on the 7 o’clock train for a two months stay in South Carolina. Following were the plans for fourteenth, from which date the wedding was postponed on account of the serious illlness of Mr. Muse. The wide veranda was to make a charming setting for the wedding which would have been solemnized at the vesper hour. A tall green hedge would enclose the veranda, and an aisle formed by the crescent shaped alter of bamboo between the white columns tipped with clusters of roses, this decoration with the impraid of tiny lights, glittering in the vines would have been suggestive of a flower ete. The bride would have been attended by her sister, Miss Eleanor McDowell as maid of honor; Miss DeLaney of Orlando, Fla., Miss Altona Crawford and Miss Willie Neal as bridesmaids; little Eugenia Paxson, flower girl. Mr. Exley of Kincon was to be best man. The bride would have been given away by her father. Miss Gertrude McDowell of Griffin was to sing to the accompaniment of Mrs. Fuller, pianist. A buffet luncheon was to be served by Mrs. Paxson and Mrs. Anderson, sisters of the bride. The Talbotton New Era Thursday, August 24, 1911 Page Seven Shiloh Items Mr. T.H.
