Copeland Recorded State of Georgia Harris County In the name of God, Amen In the language of one of a old “Not knowing the day of my death, I William B. Copeland being in good health and of sound mind and of disposing memory decree it right proper & expedient to make a disposition of the little property with which my kind heavenly Master has entrusted me hereby revoking and annulling all other wills or testaments hitherto made by me, Item I. I desire my body buried in a manner strictly in accordance with my circumstances in life. Item II. I direct that all my just debt, if I leave any be paid with the least possible delay. Item III. I give and bequeath to my beloved wife, Frances Flora Copeland, all of my property both real and personal to have and to hold the same for her sole & separate use free from the claims of all persons whatsoever during her natural life, and at her death to be divided equally share and share alike between my children, Martha, Elizabeth, James, Mary, Rebecca and George; and her children, Eliza Freeman, John Griffin, James Griffin, Robert Griffin and William E. Griffin – being eleven equal shares – In the event that either or any of these should die with children living then their share of the ______ to go to the children. December 17th 1863. Item IV. I appoint my aforesaid wife the sole executrix of this will. Wm B. Copeland (Seal) Signed Sealed published and declared to be his Last Will & Testament by the said William B. Copeland this the Seventeenth day of December in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and sixty three in the presence of the said Testator and of the undersigned who in Testimony thereof have signed thereto their names as Witnesses in the presence of said Testator, and in the presence of each other, the day and year above.
