Will of Samuel Pitts 25 Jan 1870 Harris County, GA Harris Co., GA, Will Book 2, page 207 Last Will and Testament of Samuel Pitts Decd. Georgia Harris County In the name of God Amen. I Samuel Pitts of said county and state being advanced in life and suffering intense infirmity of body deem it proper to make a disposition of the property which a kind providence has blessed me and therefore make this my last will and testament hereby revoking all others. Item 1st I give and bequeath to my wife Nancy and to my daughter Fletcher Marshall all the property of which I may die possessed, real and personal money, notes, ac-counts, cotton &c&c. to have and to hold mutually and e-qually during my wifes life and after death her moiety or half to be divided equally between all my children, and that to my daughter Fletcher in fee simple. Item 2nd My wife and daughter Fletcher I desire to pay all my just debts and I leave to my wife discreetion [sic] to give as she may desire to any one or more of her grand children to be estima-ted in her half of all the property when divided as provided in the event of her death. Item 3rd I hereby appoint and constitute my sons Irby H. Pitts and Hilliard Pitts Executors of this my last Will and Testament.
