Wilkinson of said State & County knowing the uncertainty of life deem it right and proper both as respects myself & family that I should make a disposition of the property with which a kind providence has blessed me. I therefore make this my last will and Testament revoking all others made by me. Item 1st I desire and direct that my Body be buried in a decent and Christian like manner suitable to my circumstances & condition. My soul I trust shall return to rest with God who gave it and I hope for eternal salvation through the merits of the blessed Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Item 2nd I desire and direct that all of my just debts be paid without delay by my Executors herein after named. Item 3rd I give and devise to my beloved wife Susan one third of my Estate, Real & Personal I wish for her to have a sufficient amount of that part of my Estate not bequeathed to my by my Father which property my children inherit at my death to make her portion equal to theirs. Item 4th I give & devise to my beloved mother during her natural life my interest in the Lot of Land whereon she now resides. Item 5th I Constitute and appoint my friends & relations Edward D. Davenport were present this the 27th of March Eighteen Hundred Fifty-two at the residence of George C. Benton, and heard A. M. Wilkinson a short time before his death in perfect possession of his mental facilities desire that all the property he had bequeathed to his Daughter Ida Adeci in his last Will and Testament made the day before, March 26th Eighteen Hundred Fifty-two be affixed on her & her children afree from the disposition of her future husband or husbands should she live to marry. Benton, W. H. C. Davenport and being duly sworn day that this contains the last verbal disposition of that part of the property of A. M. Wilkinson bequeathed his daughter Ida Adica is just & true in all its parts March 27th 1852. Sworn to & Subscribed before me this 27th of March 1852. William Nelson J.P. Erastus C. Darden Ordinary ex office for said County, personally came Erastus C. Woods Executor of the last Will and Testament of Alexander M. Wilkinson deceased, and produced in Court the last Will and Testament of said Alexander M. Wilkinson deceased and the witnesses to said will, to wit, Thomas M. Burford, Levi N. Mobley and George C. Benton which witnesses being duly sworn depose and say that they saw Alexander M. Wilkinson the Testator sign, seal, deliver and publish this instrument now presented as his last will and Testament freely, voluntarily and of his own accords and without any compulsion or influence whatever that at the time of the Execution of said Will said Testator was of sound and disposing mind & memory. That Deponents signed said will as witnesses in the presence of the Testator and as his special instructions request & in the presence of each other.
