I Morgan W. McAfee being indisposed in body but of sound mind and memory and calling to mind the mortality of my body and knowing that it is appropriate? For all persons to die do make and ordain this my last Will and Testament in manner and from as follows revoking all wills made by me here before to wit ------I commit my soul to God who gave it and my body to the earth to be buried at the discretion of my Executors here after named and as to such worldly Estate with which it has pleased God to bless me I would dispose of it in the following manner. First All my just debts to be paid for which purpose it is my Will that the Land which I purchased of Flony to be sold and also all my perishable property for the same purpose. Secondly To my beloved Wife Jane I do give and bequeath the West half of the Lot of Land which I ma now living on and the East half to my beloved Son and the remaining part of my property to be equally divided between my Wife and Son and I hereby constitute and appoint John Shollars and Jesse Roberts my sole Executors As witness my hand this the Twelfth day of January Eighteen hundred and forty. Sholars Unreadable signature Georgia Harris County no page number, minutes of the Inferior Court Georgia Harris County Know to all men by these presents that we John Sholars, David Sholars & Jane McAfee are held and firmly bound unto the justices of the Inferior Court & sitting as a court of ordinary and their successors in office in the just sum of five Thousand Dollars payable by the said John Sholars, David Solars and Jane McAfee or either of them their heirs executors administrators or assigns jointly and severally to be void on condition that if the said John Sholars do and perform all the duties of Guardianship for the person and property of Morgan McAfee orphan of Morgan W. McAfee dec’d as the law requires of him otherwise to remain in full force power and virtue Witness our hands and seals this 1st day of November 1841. The next reference I found on the film regarding this will was the minutes filed with the Inferior Court, I included then at the end of the will.
