Indenture between James David & William Ray 02 May 1862 Hart Co, GA State of Georgia : This indenture made this the Second day of May Hart County : in the year Eighteen hundred and Sixty two - between James W.V. David of the State and County aforesaid of the one part and William C. Ray of the other part in the State and County aforesaid. Witnesseth, that the said James W.V. David for and in consideration of the sum of six hundred dollars to him in hand paid and before the sealing and delivery of these presents the receipt thereof is hereby acknowledged hath granted bargained sold and conveyed and doth by these presents grant, bargain, sell, and convey unto the said William C. Ray his heirs and assigns all that tract or parcel of land Situate lying and being I the county aforesaid on the waters of Cedar Creek having the following shape and form. Beginning at a dead pine corner running N 2 ½ E 46 to a oak corner. Thence N 89 W 47 to a post oak corner, Thence S 15 ½ W 48 to a black Jack corner, Thence S 89 ½ E 55.50 to the beginning dead pine corner. (Containing two hundred and thirty five acres) Adjoining land of Christian Johnson & others To have and to hold said tract or parcel of land. Too him the said William C. Ray his heirs and assigns together with all and singular the rights, members, and appurtentances thereof to the same in any manner belonging to his and their own proper use, benefit, and behoof forever in fee simple And the said James W.V. David for himself heirs executors and administrators the said bargained premises to the said William C. Ray his heirs and assigns, will warrant and forever defend the right and title thereof against themselves and against the claim of all others whatsoever. In witness whereof the said James W.V.
