See Company A, 9th Battalion Georgia Infantry for
roll of this company prior to May 6, 1863. The 37th
Regiment Georgia Infantry was formed partly by
consolidation of the 3rd and 9th Battalions of
Georgia Infantry May 6, 1863. The 9th Battalion
Georgia Infantry was also known as the 17th
Battalion Georgia Infantry

McMullan, John G. -- Captain - See Captain Company
A, 9th Battalion Georgia Infantry

McCurry, William -- Appointed 1st Sergeant of
Company B, 24th Regiment Georgia Infantry August 24,
1861. Discharged on account of hernia January 7,
1862. Enlisted as a Private in Company D, 37th
Regiment Georgia Infantry May 6, 1863. Captured at
Missionary Ridge, Tennessee November 25, 1863. Took
oath of allegiance to U. S. Government at Rock
Island, Illinois and released April 21, 1864.

Chambers, Robert G. -- See Private - Company C, 9th
Battalion Georgia Infantry

Cason, James M. -- Private - October 18, 1863. Roll
dated April 1, 1864, last on file, shows him
present. No later record.

Chastain, A. -- Private - Died in Atlanta, Georgia
May 21, 1864. Buried there in Oakland Cemetery.

Clarke, James E. -- Private - October 18, 1863. Roll
dated April 1, 1864, last on file, shows him
present. No later record.

Clem, A. J. -- Private - March 1, 1864.

Davis, William H. -- Private - October 18, 1863.
Roll for February 1864, shows him absent, sick.
Discharged, disability, at Dalton, Georgia March 11,
1864. (Born in Georgia March 1843.)

Dyar, F. M. -- Private - March 25, 1864. Captured at
Greenville, South Carolina May 23, 1865, and paroled
in 1865.

Ham, Wesley -- Private - August 20, 1863. Died
January 1864.

McCown, B. W. -- Private - November 6, 1863. Roll
dated April 1,1864, last on file, shows him present.
No later record.


McDowell, John R. C. -- Private - March 5, 1864.
Captured at Decatur, Alabama October 28, 1864. Died
of general debility at Camp Douglas, Illinois March
2, 1865. Buried there in Confederate Cemetery.



Page, F. M. -- Private - July 1864. Pension records
show he was discharged July 1864. Enlisted as a
Private in Company C, 5th Regiment Georgia Militia
July 24, 1864. Deserted.

Vernon, Robert M. -- Private - March 3, 1864. Roll
dated April 1,1864, last on file, shows him present.
Captured and paroled at Andersonville, South
Carolina May 3, 1865. (Born in Elbert County,
Georgia May 1845.)

Vickery, M. W. -- Private - October 20, 1863. Roll
dated April 1, 1864, last on file, shows him
present. Captured and paroled at Hartwell, Georgia
May 19, 1865.

Vickery, T. H. -- Private. Died in Atlanta, Georgia
May 10, 1864. Buried there in Oakland Cemetery.
