Atlanta Constitution, 23 Feb 1910 
Hartwell, Ga., February 22 - Mrs. Emily Masters Alford, wife of J. B. Alford, 
died today of paralysis. The remains will be buried Wednesday at Mount Zion. 
She was the mother of A.V.Alford, president of the Farmers and Merchants bank, 
Mrs. W. J. Neese, Mrs W. C. Estes, and W. J. Alford of Florida, and Mrs. J. D. 
Turner of Maysville. 

Additional Comments:
Hart Co. marriage records show James Alford and Emily Masters were married on 
26 May 1860. The Hart Co. cemetery book shows Emily Masters Alford, died 
1910,unmarked grave, buried at New Harmony Methodist Church, and James B. 
Alford, born 7 Jan 1841, died 15 Apr 1913, buried at Cokesbury Methodist 
Church.
