Atlanta Constitution, 28 Oct 1923 
Hartwell, Ga., October 27 - Mrs. Arlie Fisher Alford, wife of Angus N. Alford, 
prominent  merchant, died yesterday. Funeral services and burial were today, 
Rev.  G. J. Davis officiating. Mrs. Alford is survived by her husband and the 
following children: Mrs. Parke Skelton, H. I. Alford, H. B. Alford, A. N. 
Alford, Jr., all of Hartwell, and Mrs. Clarence Wall, Atlanta; also three 
grandchildren. She was the daughter of Thomas and Bettie Fisher, late of 
Hartwell. 

Additional Comments:
Hart Co marriage records show A. N. Alford and A. E. Fisher married on 5 Oct 
1887. Hart Co. cemetery records show Arlie Fisher Alford, born 3 Oct 1869, 
died 26 oct 1923, and Angus Notley Alford, born 23 Dec 1861, died 2 Nov 1951, 
both buried Northview cemetery, Hartwell.
