Born in Hart County, he was a son of Iber Phillips Cromer of Hartwell and the late Henry Keifer Cromer. He was retired from Reliance Electric Company, and was a member of Goldmine Church of Gold and lifetime member of DAV. Surviving are mother; wife; son, Philip Dana Cromer of Hartwell; daughter, Mrs. Joy Smith of Royston; grandchildren reared in the home, Cecelia Davis and Joshua Davis; brothers, James Cromer, Jack Cromer and Kenneth Cromer of Hartwell; sisters, Mrs. Bonnie Partain of McDonough, Mrs. Janie Hughes of Royston, Mrs. Sarah Willis of Gainesville, Mrs. Cornelia Goldsmith, Mrs. Martha Ashworth and Mrs. Rebecca Hamby of Hartwell and Mrs. Glenda Parham of Royston. Services were at 3 p.m. Friday, Jan. 13, at Goldmine Church of God by the Revs. Hildra Hulett and Lee Brandt. Burial was in Nancy Hart Memorial Park. Hallman Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
