Atlanta Constitution, 4 Jul 1898
Hartwell, Ga., July 3 - Mr. John Q. Donald, one of Hartwell's prominent 
business men, died this afternoon at 5 o'clock with inflammation of the 
bowels. 

Additional Comments:
Hart Co. marriage records show John Q. Donnald and Frances Alice Stephenson 
were married on 21 Jan 1881, and that John Q. Donnald and Mattie Jones were 
married on 6 Feb 1896. Hart Co. cemetery records show that Alice F. Stephenson 
Donnald, wife of J.Q. and dau. of F.C. and Mary A., born 2 Sep 1863, died 24 
Jan  1891, and Mattie R. Jones Donnald,wife of J.Q., died on 26 Feb 1916, both 
buried at Northview cemetery in Hartwell.
