HAILEY DIES AT HOME IN HARTWELL - Henry F. Hailey, one of Hartwell's most prominent citizens, died at an early hour this morning at the age of 74. He was a Confederate veteran, enlisting in the war between the states at the age of 16. Mr. Hailey is survived by his widow; three sons, Dr. W.I. Hailey and George A. Hailey, of Hartwell, and Frank M. Hailey, of Athens; two daughters, Mrs. Thomas H.Turner of Denmark, S.C., and Mrs. Walter H. Keese of Anderson, S. C. and 32 grandchildren. Interment will be at Cedar Creek Baptist church Thursday morning and his grandsons will act as pallbearers. Additional Comments: Elbert Co. marriage records show Henry F. Haley and Laura C. Brown were married on 2 Sep 1869. Hart Co. cemetery records show H. F. Hailey, born 24 Sep 1845, died 18 Feb 1920, and Laura C. Hailey, born 19 Aug 1850, died 6 Jul 1937, both buried Cedar Creek Baptist church, Hart Co.
