P. JENKINS, 81, PLANTER OF HART, CLAIMED BY DEATH - Hartwell, Ga., January 19 - E. P. Jenkins, prominent Hart county farmer, died this afternoon after illness of several months. He was a Confederate soldier. He is survived by his widow; three sons, Dr. J. C. Jenkins of Hartwell; Dr. J. I. Jenkins of McCurry's district, and Phil Jenkins and seven daughters, Mrs. T. O. Herndon, Mrs. J. B. Gaines, Mrs. J. D. Johnson, Mrs. George Mize, Mrs. Orr Cook, Mrs. J. M. Moon and Miss Mell Jenkins. Funeral services will be held from the Bethesda Methodist church Wednesday and interment will be at the churchyard cemetery. Additional Comments: Hart Co. marriage records show E. P. Jenkins and E. R. Brown married on 29 Aug 1865, and E. P. Jenkins and Ada C. McCurry married on 9 Mar 1894. Hart Co. cemetery records show Elias P.
