I. Knox, superintendent of Hartwell High School, died today, the result of an accident while hunting last Thanksgiving. Professor Knox stuck a thorn in his finger and developed blastimycosis. He was 36 years old, a member of Kiwanis club, a Mason and K.P. He was also secretary and treasurer of the Georgia Educational association and elder in the Presbyterian church. He came to Hartwell from Jackson, Ga. where he was formally superintendent of the schools there. He is survived by his widow, who was Miss Elizabeth Osborn, formally of Fresno, Calif.; three children, Frances Elizabeth, Raymond Irvin, Jr., and Arthur Osborn; three brothers, R. W. Knox of Rendville, Tenn.; William of Haddock, Ga., and Sam of Hartwell. Funeral services will be announced later.
