Mr. Linder was one of the leading spirits in the building of Hartwell and had been in the mercantile business for many years. He was a Confederate soldier. He is survived by two sons, Emmett and Clarence Linder. Six grown children preceded him to the grave. The sons were Arthur Lee and T. J., Jr., Mrs. Amos Teasley, Mrs. Owen Alford of Hartwell, and Mrs. Robert Schmidt of Atlanta. He was 71 years old. Additional Comments: Hart Co. marriage records show Thomas J. Linder and Susan Alice Peek were married on 18 Feb 1872. Hart Co. cemetery records show T. J. Linder, born 27 Aug 1845, died 27 Jun 1917, and Susn Alice Linder, born 16 Dec 1853, died 30 Sep 1903, both buried at Northview cemetery, Hartwell.
