Atlanta Constitution, 20 Apr 1905 
Hartwell, Ga., April 19 - Hon. Chesley L. Scott died this week. Mr. Scott was 
a prominent and respected citizen. He had served Hart county in days past as 
county treasurer and as tax receiver. He was a member of the Masonic 
fraternity. 

Additional Comments:
Hart Co. cemetery records show C. L. Scott, born 17 Jun 1825, died 14 Apr 
1905, buried at Northview cemetery in Hartwell. Elbert Co. marriage records 
show Chesley L. Scott and Eliza F. Walters were married on 28 Jan 1854.
