Atlanta Constitution, 11 Jun 1925 
Hartwell, Ga., June 10 - V. J. Skelton, prominent  citizen of Hartwell and 
Hart county, died Tuesday at  his residence after a short illness. He was a 
member of the Methodist church and active in its affairs. In addition to his 
widow, he is survived by two brothers, A. S. Skelton of Hartwell and G. W. 
Skelton of LaGrange. 

Additional Comments:
Hart Co. marriage records show V. J. Skelton and P. A. Sanders were married on 
2 Jun 1889. Hart Co. cemetery records show V. J. Skelton, born 14 May 1870, 
died 9 Jun 1925, buried Flat Shoals Baptist church. One Polly A. Skelton, born 
Mar  1872, is also shown as buried in same cemetery.
