Atlanta Constitution, 10 Jul 1921 
Hartwell, Ga., July 9 - Oscar A. Teasley, a well-known citizen, died at an 
early hour this morning. Funeral services and interment will be conducted at 
Bethesda church cemetery. He is survived by his wife and one daughter Mrs. 
Cary Carter. 

Additional Comments:
Hart Co. marriage records show O. A. Teasley and Nannie Brown were married on 
24 Dec 1893. Census records show he was the son of William Early Teasley and 
William's first wife [possibly the Mary A.J.Teasley who married William E. 
Teasley on 19 Jan 1871 in Elbert Co.] William E. Teasley's 2nd wife was 
Elizabeth A. Mewborn, married on 28 Feb 1878 in Hart Co. Oscar is likely the 
Allen Teasley, age 7, shown in Early Teasley's 1880 Hart Co. household, since 
census records show Oscar A. Teasley was born in July 1873. Oscar's daughter 
Nina Teasley married Carey Carter on 28 Sep 1918 in Hart Co.
