Atlanta Constitution, 28 Jun 1882 
Hartwell, Ga. June 26 - Hon. Jno. B. Benson (old B.) was married yesterday at 
the residence of Dr. C. A. Webb in Hartwell by the Rev. Mr. Seale, to Miss 
Martha Ethridge. No cards.--- We note elsewhere the marriage of Colonel Benson 
of the Hartwell Sun to a charming wife. We know she is charming, for none but 
a charming woman could have won so fine an editor and so gental a gentleman. 
The Constitutin sends to the happy pair its heartiest congratulations. We 
shall look for the Colonel and his bride at this State convention, when we 
will have more to say on the subject. 

Additional Comments:
Hart Co. marriage records show John B. Benson and Martha E. Ethridge were 
married on 25 Jun 1882.
