Atlanta Constitution, 11 Nov 1903 
Hartwell, Ga., November 11 - Mr. J. P. Jones of Hartwell and Miss Bessie 
McDowell of Fairview, SC were married Wednesday morning at the home of the 
bride, Rev. W. A. Huff performing the ceremony. Mr. and Mrs. Jones arrived on 
the afternoon train that  afternoon and are at home to their friends at  the 
Oaks hotel. Mr. Jones is a member of the mercantile firm of J. P. Jones and 
Company, and is a successful young business man. Mrs. Jones is a young woman 
of many rare charms of grace and character and will prove a valuable addition 
to the Society of Hartwell.
