White, 20 April 1863 The following Will was proved in Hart Co., GA on 1 June 1863: "Georgia, Hart County) In the name of God Amen I Ann H. White of the county and State aforeaid being of sound disposing mind and reflecting that it is appointed for all mankind to die do make and ordain this my last Will and Testament. It is my will that my body after death be burried in a plain and decent manner at the discretion of my Executor. And as to such worldly goods as God has blessed me with I dispose of them in the following manner. First - I will that all my just debts be paid. Secondly - I reserve for a tomb to mark my grave one hundred and fifty dollars. Third - I do give to my beloved brother Dillard H. White five hundred dollars. Fourth Item - I do give to Edward R. White in trust for his Louisa Ellen White one hundred dollars. Item Fifth - I do give my sister Mildred E. Jones my gold watch and chain. Item Sixth - I do give Dillard H. Whites daughter Ellen Catharine my bed and bed stead, and dressing enough to dress it. Item Seventh - My will and desire is that my executor equally divide my remaining bed clothes after dressing the bed and all my wearing clothes between my sisters and sisters in law. Item Eighth - I do give to my niece Martha Ann White my walnut big chest, and my other chest I give to James H. Whites daughter Ann Herndon White. Item Ninth - I do give to my sister Mildred E. Jones fifty dollars for nursing me in my afflictions. Item Tenth - My will is that my executor collect all moneys due me and sell my two negro boys at public sale and divide the proceeds of the sale of the negroes, and all other moneys belonging to my estate between my brothers and sisters. Mildreds share to go to her two children that are now living and brother John W. Whites share to his children. My brother Dillard H. White receiving nothing in the division except the per cent. His share having been specified in the third Item. I do make and ordain my beloved brother Dillard H. White my executor to this my last will and testament. Cauthen " "Hart Court of Ordinary June Term 1863 Personally came into open court Elbert J. Brown who being duly sworn says that he saw Ann H. White sign the foregoing will, that at the time of signing the same the said Ann H. published and declared it to be her last will and testament, that deponeth together with Dillard H. Brown and Amanda L. Cauthen whose names are thereto subscribed as witnesses signed the same as witnesses in the presence and at the request of the said testatrix in Hart Co. Ga at the date thereof, that testatrix at the time of signing the same was of sound and disposing mind. Elbert J. Brown Sworn to and subscribed before me in open court this June 1st 1863 F. B.
