     Francis Marion Screws & Mary Ann Ashley Family
     
     Francis Marion Screws was born Sept 1, 1841 in Coweta County,
     Georgia, the son of Joshua Screws and Delilah Jane Gay. He married
     Mary Ann Ashley in 1861 in Georgia and moved to Heard County,
     Georgia by 1880. He was a civil war soldier, enlisting in Co. F
     13th GA Regt. Cav. CSA. He died Oct 9, 1917 in Heard County,
     Georgia. Mary Ann Ashley Screws died Oct 22, 1913 and is buried
     next to her husband at the Salem United Methodist Church Cemetery
     in Heard County,Georgia.
     
     Mary Ann Ashley was born Nov 8, 1834 in South Carolina or Georgia.
     Her parents are undocumented, but her siblings were:
     
     Martha A. Saleste Ashley born March 1, 1816 in South Carolina, died
     Jan 28, 1897 in Heard County, GA
     
     Reuben Ashley born Oct 19, 1817 in South Carolina, married Minerva
     Amanda Dunlap in 1849 in SC or GA. He died in June 1888 in Heard
     County, GA.
     
     James Ashley born Sept 25, 1819 in South Carolina
     
     Phillip Ashley born Dec 9, 1823 in South Carolina
     
     Harriet Matilda Ashley born Sept 27, 1827 in South Carolina, died
     Dec 1908 in Heard Co., GA
     
     Thomas Ashley born Nov 1, 1829 in South Carolina, married in 1859
     to Elizabeth Cox. He
     died in the civil war of measles in July 1862.
     
     Elizabeth Ashley born Dec 21, 1832 in South Carolina, died Oct 29,
     1908 in Heard Co., GA
     
     Francis Marion Screws and Mary Ann Ashley had 8 children:
     
     Marion Robinson Screws born May 12, 1862 in Georgia, married Tommie
     in 1882. He died April 23, 1911.
     He is buried at the Salem United Methodist Church Cemetery in Heard
     County, GA.
     
     Amanda Screws was born in 1866 in Georgia.
     
     Emma Screws was born Sept 14, 1868 in Georgia, married in 1890 to
     Leslie A. Adams (son of Kinion Adams and Elizabeth Buckner. She
     died Dec 2, 1918.
     
     Elmira Leona Screws was born Feb 25, 1869 in Georgia, died Sept 7,
     1877 in Heard Co., GA
     
     Thomas S. Screws born in 1870 in Georgia, married about 1898 to
     Mattie.
     
     Sim Screws was born March 1871 in Georgia, married in 1897 to
     Mollie Duke in Heard Co., GA
     
     Henry Rufus Screws was born Jan 20, 1875 in Georgia, died Dec 28,
     1875 in Georgia
     
     Leva A. Screws was born Nov 1876 in Georgia, married a Mr. Bishop.
     She died in 1947 in Georgia.
