Sister Thomas was born May 1835 and joined the church in 1852. Was married to W.C. Thomas in 1855. And to their union, five children were born. Her husband and one son preceded her to the grave. She was a kind neighbor, dutiful wife, affectionate mother and a consistent member of the church. Was loved and esteemed by all who knew her. It was a pleasure for her to care for and entertain God's ministering servants. Faithful in all the relations of life, we commend the life of our departed sister as worthy of emulation and that her life has left a lasting impress for good in our church and community in which she lived. Though her pain and sufferings were great, she bore them with christian fortitude and expressed her submissiveness to the Will of God. All we can ask is that the Great Helper in his Divine Sympathy, may console and comfort the hearts of the bereaved ones for we know that it is He who doeth all things well. J.B. Ware G.S. Darden J.E.
