Pickens Norwood Georgia, Heard County Know all men by these presents that we, James E. Thomaston as Prinicpal and W.A. McWhorter and W.L. Ables as Security, are held and firmly bound unto T.M. Awbrey, Ordinary of said County and his successors in office in the sum of One Thousand Dollars to the payment of which will and truly to be made, we bind ourselves, our heirs, executors and administrators of us and each of us firmly by these presents. Subscribed with our hands and sealed with our seals this 27th day of November 1918. The condition of the above bond or obligation is such that, whereas the above bound James E. Thomaston has this day affieved to the said T.M. Awbrey, Ordinary for and has obtained Temporary Letters of Administration of the goods and chattels rights and credits of J. Pickens Norwood, deceased. Now if the above bound James E. Thomaston shall carefully collect and preserve from waste or loss, all the goods and chattels and effects of the said J. Pickens Norwood, deceased and shall make or cause to be made a bill and perfect inventory of all such estate and the same being so preserved do surrender up such estate and effects with the inventory of said unto the legal and proper Adminstration on by the first Monday in January 1919 next or so soon thereafter as the ordinary shall direct with all his other actings and doings therein, then his obligation to be void, otherwise to remain in full force in law. Thomaston, W.A. McWhorter and B.H. Hofron, held and firmly bound and obliged unto the Honorable, the Ordinary of said County for the time being and his successors in office or assigns for which payment will and truly to be made and done, we bind ourselves jointly and severally and each of our heirs, executors and administrators, firmly by these presents. Sealed with our seals and dated at Franklin the 22nd day of February in the year of our Lord One Thousand Nine Hundred and Nineteen. The condition of the above obligation is such that if the above bound J.E. Thomaston, Administrator of the goods and chattels and credits of J.P. Norwood deceased, do make a true and perfect inventory of all and singular the goods, chattels and credits of the said deceased which have or shall come to the hands, possession or knowledge of the said J.E. Thomaston or on the hands or possession of any other person or persons for him and the same made to exhibit the same in Court of Ordinary of said county when he shall be thereunto required and such goods, chattels and credits do will and truly administer according to law and make a just and true account of his actings and doings therein when required by the Superior Court or the Court of Ordinary for said County. And all the rest of the goods, chattels and credits which shall be found remaining upon the account of the said Administration the same being first allowed by the said Court shall deliver and pay to such person respectively as are entitled to the same by him. And if it shall hereafter appear that any Last Will and Testament was made by the said deceased the same be proven before the Court and the Executor obtain a certificate of probate thereof and the said J.E. Thomaston do in such case if required under and deliver the said Letters of Administration then this obligation to be void, else to remain in full force. J.E. Thomaston W.A.
