Thomas The Columbus, GA newspaper -- May 20, 1836 General Orders from the Headquarters at Milledgeville, Ga. invites Georgians to form into volunteer companies to be provisioned and supplied by the state, to guard the banks of the Chattahoochee River from incursions of the Creeks. Signed by Bolling H. Robinson, Aide-de-Camp Also in the June 9th, June 16th, and June 23rd issues of the Columbus paper are General Orders from many officers, reports of skirmishes with the Indians. We have not had a chance to transcribe these pages as of yet.
