Kent and family. ________ Cliff Davis and family of Enon Grove, Lee Eley of Pine Grove, spent Sunday with T.L. Vaughan and family. ________ Mr. and Mrs. Jepp Vaughan of Pine Grove visited the latter's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Turner, Sunday. _________ Mrs. Mack Bussey and small children of near Cedartown, are spending awhile with relatives here. ________ Mr. and Mrs. Rueben Jackson of Riverside, visited J.E. Jackson and family Sunday. _________ J.B. Faver and son Earl, of Atlanta, spent last weekend here and attended services here. _________ Miss Bessie Maud Kee visited Mrs. Cliff Jackson Sunday. _________ ARTHUR CASWELL PASSED AWAY Thursday, May 24 Mr. Arthur E. Caswell, age 42, died at his home at Roosterville, his death occuring Thursday afternoon, May 24th, after an illness of two years. Mr. Caswell was well known throughout the county, he having operated a general store at his home at Roosterville for a number of years. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Mattie Caswell, his father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. S.M. Caswell. Funeral services conducted Friday at Antioch church. Services conducted by Revs. Yarbrough and Cumbie with Masons in charge. _________ ENON GROVE News The community was made sad Friday morning to hear of the death of L.B. Dingler of near Sargents, who died Thursday night. Mr. Dingler formerly lived in this community; he was well known and loved by all that knew him. His body was brought to Wesley Chapel for burial Friday afternoon and laid to rest. The family have our sympathy. _________ Mr. and Mrs. Bit McWaters of near Franklin, spent the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Robert Hawk. _________ Mr. and Mrs. Winfred Eady attended commencement exercises in Newnan Thursday night, the former's sister being one of the graduates. ________ Mr. and Mrs. Earnest Herndon and family of Midway, spent Sunday afternoon with Mr. and Mrs. P.A. Herndon. _________ Mr. and Mrs. Amos Stephens were in Newnan Friday. ________ Mr. and Mrs. John Combs spent Sunday with Z.T. Estep family. _________ Mrs. John Hawk was in Newnan shopping Saturday. _________ Mr. and Mrs. Otis Hardegree of Pleasant Hill spent Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. John Hawk. ________ Misses Mary and Frances Hardegree and Cleveland Bradley of Northeast Heard were callers in our ville Sunday afternoon. ________ R.H. Combs spent Sunday with his daughter, Mrs. L.M. Webb, of Pleasant Hill. ________ Mr. and Mrs. J.R. Hawk, Mr. and Mrs. John Hawk, Mr. and Mrs. Otis Hardegree went to Hogansville Sunday looking over Daniel Brothers dairy. Saw some fine thoroughbred cows and hogs. _________ Mr. and Mrs. Robert Smith of Midway, spent Sunday with Mrs. Margaret Smith. _________ PLEASANT GROVE News Mr. and Mrs. V.P. Adamson visited Mrs. Rebecca Adams Sunday. ________ Mr. and Mrs. Awtrey Adamson and children of Lime, Ala, spent Saturday night with the former's parents, Mr. and Mrs. A.J. Adamson. _________ Jim Wilson and family of Glenn, spent Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. G.T. Caswell. ________ Mr. and Mrs. S.H. Adamson and children and Mr. and Mrs. Earl Adamson were the weekend visitors in Rock Mills, Ala. ________ Miss Gertrude Caswell spent Saturday with Miss Lille Adamson. ________ LEGAL NOTICES - - Dismission Georgia, Heard County Whereas, J.H. Kidd, administrator of Mrs. S.R. Kidd, represents to the court in his petition, duly filed and entered on record, that he has fully administered Mrs. S.R. Kidd's estate. Hardy. ________ Miss Mildred Pope spent part of last week with her brother, Howard Pope, near Ephesus. ________ J.L. Marshall and family, G.Hugh Thomas and W.L. Tomlin visited G. W. Marshall, who is in feeble health, Sunday. ________ Carl Simonton and family of near Tyus, were mingling with friends and relatives in this community Sunday. _________ The community was made sad to learn the death of Mrs. Della Atkinson of Wetumpke, Ala. She was the daughter of Frank Jackson of this community. She was brought back to Caney Head for burial last Wednesday. The father and other relatives have deep sympathy of their many friends. _________ C.F. Lipham made a business trip to LaGrange Friday. ________ Mrs. Winnie Carr of LaGrange, spent the weekend with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jim Parham. __________ Several from here attended the singing at Prospect Sunday. _______ Mr. and Mrs. M.W. She was laid to rest at Caney Head. The bereaved family have our heartfelt sympathy. _________ Bill Cosper returned home from the Knight Sanitarium at R oanoke, Ala., Sunday. He is doing nicely. ________ Bill Smith and daughters Nora and Lucille were visiting relatives at Wetumpka, Ala one day last week. ________ BARKER's CORNER News We are having some fine rains at this time. Chopping cotton is the order of the day. ______ Chelsie Barker of the Berry School was called home to the bedside of his father, W.H. Barker, who is very feeble. _____ Mrs. Bud Barker visited her sister, Mrs. Mary Buchanan of near Heflin, Ala., Sunday last. Mrs. Buchanan is very feeble. _______ Mrs. Addie Gosdin is on the sick list. ______ W.L.
