W.J. GLOVER WHO DIED SUNDAY LAST Funeral rites were held Monday for Mrs. W.J. Glover who died Sunday last., amid a throng of relatives and friends and a bank of spring's sweetest flowers held at the Franklin Methodist Church Monday afternoon at 3:30 for Mrs. W.J. Glover, 68, who died at her home near town after a long illness. The services were conducted by Rev. J.C. Adams, with Lewis & Lipford as directors, after which the interment was in the city cemetery, beside her husband who had preceded her a year or two ago. Surviving the good mother are six daughters and three sons: Mrs. Olin Mathews, Mrs. Bob Hopson, Mrs. Elmer Kirk, Willis Glover of Franklin; Mrs. Emory Cox, Waverly Hall; Mrs. Cary Middlebrooks, Cliff and Hulett Glover, LaGrange; three brothers, M.C. and J.W. Baird, Franklin, and J.E. Baird, Roanoke, Ala; two sisters, Mrs. Mat Lester, Franklin and Mrs. Jim McDowell, Akron, Ohio. _________ SUPERIOR COURT CASES George Cook, possessing untaxed liquor, $100. and six months, latter suspended on good behavior and payment of fine B. Eley spent last week with her mother, Mrs. Jackson Hardy, who is ill. __ Mr. and Mrs. Jim Kent spent Sunday in LaGrange with Col. and Mrs. Luther Wyatt. __ Mr. and Mrs. Harold Hawks of Enon Grove were the guests of Mr. and Mrs. John Nutt on Sunday. __ EPHESUS News Mr. W.A. Daniel is visiting Mrs. Joe Crews at Moreland. __ Mr. Nathan Teal has returned from service with an honorable discharge to the delight of his wife, parents and friends. __ SIMPSON Community News Mrs. Mat Flournoy is real sick. __ Mrs. Leonard Eley and little grandson Mickey Eley are visiting Mrs. Lula Hardy who has been very ill. __ The Monday evening guests of Mrs. Lula Hardy were Mrs. Walter Bozeman, Misses Lula and Dovie Hyatt and Mrs. Wood Echols. __ Mr. H.B. Paschal and family of Centralhatchee were the Sunday guests of Mr. Walt Bozeman and family. __ Logs are being cut to build a new home for Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Pope. __ Mr. and Mrs. Ridley Cavender took supper Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. H.B.
