It was capable of making about 150 gallons of whiskey a day. They confiscated a large amount of sugar, fruit jars and two trucks. ___ STATE LINE News We are glad to hear that Mrs. Carey Yarbrough is improving after being in the hospital a week or more. __ Mr. and Mrs. Tom Whitley had as their guests Sunday, Mr. and Mrs. Sidney Dollar, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Harris, and Mr. and Mrs. Jack Sanders. Miss Ruby Whitley and Mr. Jack Sanders were married Saturday Nov. 6th. __ Mr. Hubert Barber and Mrs. Hill from East Point spent the day with Mr. and Mrs. Jeff Whitley last Thursday. __ ROOSTERVILLE News, by W.T. Atkinson Little Peggy Roberts and myself had supper with Mr. and Mrs. N.L. Folds and family. They served o'possum and potatoes and many good things. If you want to have a good time, go to see these fine people. __ Mr. A.C. Caswell is going to build a new dwelling on his farm near Caney Head which will add much to the beauty of Church Street. __ MT. PLEASANT News The many friends of Mr. Luther Walston will be glad to know he is back from from Emory Hospital in Atlanta where he was confined several days. The doctors told him they thought they had the cancer under control but he has got to go back Dec. 7th. __ Mrs. Willie Sue Nelms has moved back home. She has been running the store for the last 35 months but her health has given way on her until she is no longer able to tend to it so Zed Nelms has rented it and will lay in a stock of goods at once. He will move his family here as soon as he can. __ I.E. Middlebrooks celebrated his 80th birthday last Sunday. All the boys and their families were home and brought such a dinner that it weighed the table down with good things. In the center was a large birthday cake with read Mr. Coot's 80th. __ LOCAL News Mrs. J.C. Adams is on the sick list. __ The many friends of Mrs. M.J. Stephens will regret to learn she is not doing well. Mrs. C.J.
