The many friends of  Mr. and Mrs. Ben McWhorter will be happy to hear that 
Peggy is walking and will be dismissed from the Polio Foundation the 22nd of 
December.

Mr. and Mrs.  Bennett Cooper of Gither Springs were mingling with old friends 
here last Friday.

We are very glad to welcome Mr. and Mrs. Hugh McClain in our community. We 
hope to make them happy while they are here.

MR. AND MRS. W.H. LANCASTER CELEBRATE 54th WEDDING ANNIVERSARY

Mr. and Mrs. W.H. Lancaster of Franklin, GA celebrated their 54th wedding 
anniversary December 15th. They have lived in Heard County most of their lives.

Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Bailey and children,  Mr. and Mrs. Willard Pate and Mrs. 
P.W. Crockett have recently moved to Columbus.

Mr. Hamp Tuggle and family moved near Antioch last week.

MT. PLEASANT News

Mr. and Mrs. J.A. Duke are expecting to move to Centralhatchee this week.

LOCAL News

Mrs. Anna West, formerly Miss Anna Knight, who was a resident of Heard County, 
was buried at Newnan Sunday afternoon. Mr. and Mrs. Mort Lipford, Mr. Gus 
Lipford and Mr. Walter Lipford attended the funeral.
