A BAPTIST FAMILY

Rev. T.G. Layton of Rockalo district, Heard county, a Baptist minister, is the 
head of quite an interesting family.  He will be fifty years of age in February 
1886 and his wife, whom he married on Dec. 22, 1853, will be 51 on the 9th of 
March the same year.  The progeny of this couple consists of ten children and 
14 grandchildren, all living and well.  There are 13 members of the Baptist 
church in that family and they all met at the annual meeting at Friendship in 
Heard County.
