DEATH CLAIMS YOUNG AND OLD IN THIS SECTION THE PAST WEEK

During the past six days a number of deaths have occurred in this part of the 
country.  The most prominent among the victims was Mr. Henry C. Allen, a 
successful merchant and farmer over in Heard County, Georgia.  Mr. Allen's 
death occurred suddenly last Thursday (25 Feb 1909).  He was the father of Mrs. 
J.T. Talley 
of this place.  He was a Confederate Veteran and was nearly 70 years of age.
