William Lee Brown
(Roanoke Rt. 3)

  William Lee Brown, age 75, 
or Rt.3, Roanoke, died in the
Randolph County Hospital on
Monday, July 7.
  Mr. Brown is survived by two
sons, James and Robert Brown of
Roanoke Rt. 3; two daughters,
Mrs. Mary Shelnutt and Mrs. Velma
Dodgen of LaGrange, Ga.; and 12
grandchildren and eight great -
grandchildren.
  Funeral services for Mr. Brown
were conducted at four o'clock
Tuesday afternoon from Welcome
Home Baptist Church, the Rev.
Awbrey Brown officiating, with
burial in the church cemetery.
  Quattlebaum's Brown-Service
Funeral Home in charge of 
arrangements.

Additional Comments:

William L. Brown's wife was Patsey Jannie Brown (maiden name) Young Brown.

William Lee Brown's parents were Benjamin (Ben) E. and Mary Jane Strickland 
Brown.

Brothers and Sisters of William Lee Brown were: James "Jim" Robert Brown, 
Alonzo "Lon" Jackson Brown, Mary Elizabeth Brown, John Henry Brown, and Jossie 
and Joseph (Joe) Brown (twins).
