Roanoke Leader
Mr. James A. Daniel died at 2 o'clock this morning at his home in this place, 
following an illness of two weeks. This well-known citizen came to Roanoke from 
Heard County, Ga., twenty-five years ago. His remains will be carried back to the 
old home this afternoon for interment, after funeral services conducted at 
Ephesus Baptist church by Rev. A. H. Prince. Mr. Daniel was a member of the 
Handley Avenue Baptist church of this city. The deceased, who was 62 years of 
age, is survived by his wife and nine children six sons and three daughters three 
of whom reside in Roanoke, two in LaGrange, two in Talladega and two in Detroit. 
All were present at the funeral except the two in Michigan.
