Funeral Services Held June 7 At Veal
For Henry T. Davis

    Henry Thomas Davis, age 75, of Route 1, Roopville, passed away Monday 
evening, June 5, 1967, after a lengthy illness.
    He was a native of Alabama and had been a resident of the Veal 
community for fourteen years. He was a retired textile worker and a veteran of 
World War I.
    He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Clara Beck Davis and one 
granddaughter, Mrs. Velma Lee McCormick both of Route 1, Roopville.
    Funeral services were held Wednesday, June 7, at 3 o’clock pm from the 
Veal Methodist Church with the Rev. Guy Rogers officiating. Music will be 
furnished by the Church choir under the direction of Mr. Ross Chambers. 
Internment will be in the Veal Cemetery.

Henry Thomas Davis' first wife was Claudia McCormick and his second wife was 
Clara V. Beck Davis.

Henry Thomas Davis' parents were William Euzell and Martha Lewis Davis.

Brothers and Sisters of Henry Thomas Davis were: John William Davis, Mary 
Elizabeth Davis Benefield, Lucy Frances N. Davis Mathews, Hiram James Davis, 
Sophronia "Fronia" "Fronie" K. Davis Fincher, Samuel "Sam" Jesse Davis, Delia 
Jerushra Davis Marshall and Carrie Mae Jane Davis.
