Davis (Newell) Miss Carrie M. Davis, 84, of Newell died in Collinsville Nursing Home on Sunday, May 27, after a brief illness. Funeral services were held the following day at 3 in the afternoon at Union Baptist Church, with the Rev. Monroe Wiggins officiating. Interment was in the church cemetery. Miss Davis, a lifelong redident of Randolph County, is survived by two nieces, Mrs. Nellie Rochester of Anniston and Mrs. Izetta Evans of Newell; three nephews, Lewis Mathews of Wedowee, Mattie Mathews of Anniston, and Jay Mathews of East Point, Ga. Pallbearers were Marion Rollins, Herbert Lee Hadley, Leonard Pollard, and Eddy Alums. Benefield Funeral Home in charge. Additional Comments: Carrie Mae Jane Davis never married. Carrie Mae Jane Davis' parents were William Euzell and Martha Lewis Davis. Brothers and Sisters of Carrie Mae Jane Davis were John William Davis, Mary Elizabeth Davis Benefield, Lucy Frances N.
