May 23rd

Jim Gore, a notorious character, was shot and killed last Thursday night at 
his home just over the Georgia line. No one has been arrested for the crime 
yet. It is alleged that Gore had been drinking for several days and ran his 
wife away from home and abused some of his neighbors. The interment was at 
Flat Rock near Omaha on Sunday.
