W.S. GREEN OCCURRED LAST EVENING W. Sam Green died at 6:30 last evening at his home in this place. He was stricken with paralysis about six months ago but recovered sufficiently to get about town up until recently. The remains will be carried this evening to Paran church where funeral and interment will occur at three o'clock. Mr. Green came to Roanoke several years ago from Heard County, Georgia and served as police chief for quite a while. The many friends of Mr. and Mrs. Green regret his untimely death.
