LOCAL News

Mr. E.F. Hardegree died Saturday morning, after an illness of three days 
with typhoid fever. Mr. Hardegree came to Newnan a little over a year ago 
and was engaged in the dry good business as a member of the well known firm, 
Hardegree-Shelnutt Co. He was well liked by everybody and his untimely death 
is much deplored. Besides his parents, who reside here, he is survived by 
his wife and four children. The remains were carried to Heard County for 
interment. Rev. J.F. Singleton, his pastor, accompanied the body and 
conducted the funeral service.
