Obituary of Phillip Thomas Ashley of Franklin, Heard County, Georgia

The Roanoke Leader (Randolph County, Alabama) 
Issue of Nov 30, 1950 

P.T. ASHLEY 

Mr. Phillip Thomas Ashley, age 73, passed away in his home on Route 4, 
Franklin, GA at 7 o'clock Friday morning, Nov 24. 
Funeral services were held from the Handley Avenue Baptist Church at 2:30 
Sunday afternoon with the Rev. E.F. Daniel and the Rev. L.S. Hunter in charge. 
Interment was in Cedarwood Cemetery under the direction of Quatlebaum's 
Funeral Home. 
Mr. Ashley is survived by his wife Mrs. P.T. Ashley of Rt. 4 Franklin; one 
son, William of Anniston; daughters: Mrs. Joe Laster of Franklin; Mrs. Harvey 
Harris of LaGrange; and Mrs. Sallie Clifton and Mrs. Ethel Harris of Macon, 
Georgia; nineteen grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren; and one brother, 
Joe Ashley of Haleyville.
