NEIGHBORHOOD News

Mr. A.J. Ponder, an old citizen of Heard county and former clerk of the 
Superior court, died on the 15th near Houston district in that county, under 
rather painful circumstances. It seems that he was in quite feeble health and 
low in spirit, and on the 13th, attempting to go from Mrs. Rooks across the 
farm to Mr. Mort Edwards to visit his sister, he fell in a ditch where he was 
found in a dying condition the next day.
