A. W. Timmons Dies. Widely-Known Methodist Minister Passes Away at Gadsden. Gadsden, Ala., April 8- Rev. Robert A. Timmons died at 5:15 o'clock after one year's suffering of complications of Bright's disease and other troubles. He was born in Heard county, Georgia, August 20, 1837, and was a member of Hilliard's legion confederate army, and had been an itinerant Methodist preacher in Alabama forty- three years and a presiding elder twenty years. He lived in Gadsden many years as pastor and presiding elder and was the first occupant of the superannuate home here, completed a few weeks ago. He is survived by his wife and one son, J. E. Timmons, of Opelika, and four brothers, Dr. H. C. Timmons, of Atlanta; Rev. B. E. L. Timmons, of Inman, Ga.; Rev. D. F. C. Timmons, D. D., of Sherman, Tex., and Rev. T. H. Timmons, of Thompson. The body will be interred at Lafayette.
