This photo was made about 1904, most likely in Heard Co., Georgia.

It is Annie Elizabeth (GRANTHAM) NIXON and two of her grandsons, Samuel Linton 
WEAVER-NIXON and Jacob "Jake" Richard NIXON.

Annie, daughter of Jadok/Zadock GRANTHAM & Elizabeth LOVELACE, was the widow of 
Francis NIXON (1810 - ca 1881). She was born 9 August 1828, probably in 
Meriwether Co., GA.  She married Francis around 1851.  She died 24 Feb 1905 in 
Heard Co., Georgia.  Annie is buried at Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery - 
Macedonia, Heard Co., Georgia.

Samuel Linton NIXON-WEAVER, son of Anguish "Andy" WEAVER and Mary Susan NIXON 
(Francis & Annie's eldest daughter), was born 5 May 1891 in Heard Co., 
Georgia.  His mother, Mary Susan, died 4 July 1891 when he was just 2 months 
old.  Samuel was raised by Annie and her unmarried children: John Harrison 
Zadoc NIXON, Margaret Peremely NIXON, and Clara Catherine NIXON.  Later in life 
he dropped his WEAVER surname and adopted the NIXON surname of his Grandmother, 
Uncle and Aunts who raised him. Sam died 3 Sept 1974 in Veal, Carroll Co., GA. 
He married on 19 Jul 1913 in Heard Co., GA to Martha "Lizzie" Elizabeth 
STRICKLAND (27 May 1893/Randolph Co., AL - 22 Nov 1990/Marietta, Cobb Co., GA.  
is buried at Veal Community Cemetery - Carroll Co., Georgia.

Jacob Richard “Jake” NIXON, son of Samuel Marion Drewry NIXON (Francis & 
Annie’s youngest child) and Harriet “Lizzie” Elizabeth WILSON, was born 23 June 
1902 in Heard Co., GA and died 4 June 1973 in Troup Co., GA.  He married  on 22 
Aug 1920 in Carroll Co., GA to Katie Lou JACKSON (23 Apr 1905 – 4 May 
1984/Troup Co., GA).  They are buried at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church - Tyus, 
Carroll Co., Georgia.
