Benjamin Brown went by Ben Brown. Ben Brown's father Billey Brown was probably 
born in Pike County because Spalding County did not exist until about 1851. 
Ben Brown's wife, Mary Jane Strickland Brown is also buried in Big Springs 
Baptist Church Cemetery in Randolph County, Alabama. The 1900 Georgia Census 
says that Ben Brown was born in April 1855.
