Item 1st. I direct that my estate both real and personal be kept together until my youngest child becomes of age, without any appraisement or annual returns to the Court of Ordinary and the proceeds thereof or so much as may be necessary to be used for the support of family and education of my minor children and the paying of, as I am now doing to each of my male children, five hundred dollars as an advancement, as they become of age if there is enough to do so above a support for the remaining portion of my girl children and minors who are still living together with their mother on the place. If at any time when an advancement is due a child, there is not money enough on hand to pay it he shall be paid eight percent per annnum until it is paid. My girl children shall also each have an advancement of five hundred dollars when they become of age if they are married or for any reason are living apart from my family. If they or any of them are living at the home place when they become of age, they may remain there as long as they wish or until the youngest child becomes of age and be supported the same as before they attained their majority, without receiving their advancement or any interest on same. But if at any time where an advancement is due them and then is not money enough on hand to pay it they shall be paid eight percent per annun until it is paid. Item 2nd. I give and bequeath and devise to my wife Sarah A.S. Jackson the following property when my youngest child becomes of age to wit, my home place containing one hundred and forty one acres, more or less described in the deeds from John I. Miller and W.T. Spradlin to Josiah Jackson and forty eight acres more or less south of the Wisdon lot and Pitman places running south to the corner of Copeland on the west, thence east to the public road leading from Corinth to LaGrange thence north to the Wisdon place; two good mules or horses and the dolly mare if she wants her and cows and hogs, wagons and buggies, plantation tools and plantation and family supplies for twelve months and all of the household and kitchen furniture for her own and proper use during her natural life or widowhood. If she should marry again the above described property shall revert to my estate and be divided equally between my children. Item 3rd. I also give, bequeath and devise to my wife Sarah A.S. Jackson without any limitation whatever to her own proper use and benefit and behoof a ten year distribution policy No. 326171 for one thousand dollars in the Mutual Life Insurance Co. of New York. Item 4th. When my youngest child becomes of age I direct that my executors proceed to sell, without appraisement or any order from Ordinary's Court my estate real and personal, except that included in items 2nd and 3rd and divide it equally among my children, share and share alike. Item 5th. I constitute and appoint my wife Sarah A.S. Jackson and my son-in- law W.C. Matthews, Executrix and Executor of this my Last Will and Testament, this the 8th day of December 1888. Josiah Jackson Signed, declared and published by Josiah Jackson as his Last Will and Testament in the presence of us the subscribers who subscribe our names hereto in the presence of said testator at his instance and request and each other, he signing in our presence and we signing in his presence.
